January Sesshin

January 10, 7 pm – January 12, noon EST

Sesshin means “gathering the mind,” and it’s the quintessential meditation practice in Zen. These virtual meditation intensives are meant to create a container in which we can turn our attention wholeheartedly to zazen, deepening our relationship to ourselves and one another while practicing stillness and silence.

You’re encouraged to attend the whole meditation retreat or you can come and go as you need to, especially if you’re joining from another time zone. Sesshin will include oryoki breakfast, private teaching, and a dharma talk. See full schedule.

The cost for the program is $89. If you’d like to attend but have trouble covering the fee, you can offer a different donation. Just let us know it’s for this retreat. No one will ever be turned away for lack of funds.

Note: This is a silent meditation intensive. If you are new to meditation or are uncertain if this is the right offering for you, please contact Zuisei before registering. View the schedule and chants.
