Saturday Morning Zazen
with Guest Teacher Satya Robyn:
Introduction to Pure Land Buddhism

Cost

$20

Join us live online for zazen and daisan (private teaching) with Zuisei Goddard, and an introduction to the Pure Land path with Guest Teacher Satya Robyn. Satya will give the dharma teaching and lead a Q&A.

Guest Teacher Satya Robyn will share some of the defining characteristics of Pure Land Buddhism, including Other Power and the concept of bombu nature, which holds that we are all foolish beings of wayward passion. She will speak about how she integrates these concepts into a more traditional Mahayana practice, and why she was particularly attracted to a Pure Land path.

The morning opens with an optional hour of zazen (silent meditation). Please note that although everyone is encouraged to join us for zazen, if you’re unable to come for the whole two hours, you’re welcome join any time before 10 am.
